Okay, I know this was back in August, but it's been a crazy summer! Okay, what summer isn't crazy, right? We went camping with our good friends the Meyers' down in Oregon and had a blast.

These two were peas in a pod. Taylor and Tyler, I know. It didn't help that there was another Tyler in the mix too.
We did alot of fun stuff. Swimming, fishing, riding bikes, hiking, and yes, baseball. Playing real baseball with real bats and real balls and three adults who played it in high school and six kids ages 9 and under, well, its a bad mix...

This is my own son, Logan, who was conked in the back of the head by a line drive hit very hard by his loving mother. Let's just say that we were done with baseball for the day after that.

Here is a pic of the "kids" fishing. Let's face it, we all know who was really doing the fishing here. "Logan" caught a fish shortly after this pic was taken.
The next week after we got home from camping was a scorcher. So we went out on one of the various lakes around with our good friends the Webers' (it's always a good thing to have friends with a boat... :))

Daddy is a big funkiller, so Mommy gave the kids rides on the tube. Logan just sat there, I've never seen him so docile, it was weird. Taylor had a blast, and so did I.

Here is Tay helping to reel us in.
The beginning of September was still really hot. We went down to Portland for Labor Day weekend and the girls spent a day at Kah-Nee-Tah (hotsprings about and hour away). It was super hot and we all got nasty sunburns.

Here is Taylor going down the kiddie water slide. That girl's nose was sooooo full of water, she went down that thing a billion times.
This summer was great. It was so awesome to actually go out of doors instead of cowering in the air conditioning all day. We love it up here in Washington and are looking forward to staying here for awhile.
And here comes Fall!!! Fall time is school time, and yes, Taylor is so grown up, she's started preschool on base. She goes Tuesdays and Thursdays and absolutely loves it. I can tell she's learning alot too.

Here she is posing in her school getup. Skinny jeans, hair braided, new fall fashion boots from Marshall's (love that place) and name tag. My baby's not a baby anymore!
In addition to starting school, Taylor also started soccer. This has been super fun for her, and a great experience over all. I get my daily dose of laughter whenever I take her to practice or games. There is just something that is so funny watching three and four year olds chase around a ball and try very hard to not use their hands...

Taylor actually is quite athletic and soccer has come naturally to her. I'm so proud of her!

Here she is taking on three opponants all by herself :)

I don't know if any of you remember the Sister's talk in General Conference about when she went to her grandchild's soccer game. She did an excellent job of describing what goes on. They don't keep score, they all take turns, and at the end of the game after they all shake hands, the parents form a victory tunnel for the kids to run under. The kids all have the biggest grins on their faces, and it's worth sitting and cringing through 30 minutes of chaos just to see those happy smiles and laughs. Here is Taylor going through her victory tunnel.
Well, until next time! I really will try to post more often so they aren't so long...good luck with that, right?
