The Marshalls: Our Trip to Atlanta

Right after Tyler graduated Ranger School, he wanted to splurge and go on a trip to Atlanta. I told him he didn't have to twist my arm, I was game! So, we made reservations via the internet, then packed up the Pilot and headed outta town.

We went to several different places. First we hit the Aquariam (world's largest), then found a Patriotism Museum and spent some time there, then retired to the hotel for a couple of hours to prep for our last stop for the day. We were able to go to the awesomest resteraunt ever, Medievil Times. The next morning, Tyler got a well earned massage, then we headed home to recoop.

The kids are standing on the actual medal platform used in the Atlanta Olympic games. Way cool.

And the kids thought they would never get a "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" with Daddy! Haha.

These next pictures are from Medievil Times. It was so awesome. We were assigned a knight to cheer for in the arena. Ours was the Black and White Knight, who so happened to be the invincible hero. We were so proud:) The whole place is one huge arena, like a stadium. Real horses, real sword fights and jousting, so cool. And yes, we ate with our hands...

Here is Taylor sporting her princess ribbon headwear that she begged for. She had the best time and still talks about "the knights and the horses and when are we going back?" Our knight actually threw flowers into the crowd, and Taylor was a lucky recipient. She held onto that pink carnation for dear life, and I have preserved it to put into her scrapbook.

Logan had a blast too, he loved the horses, of course. And you see Ty is loyaly wearing his black and white crown.

Here is one of the touch pools where you are allowed to pet the animals. Logan is petting a sting ray as he swims by. There were also sharks, snails, and all kinds of coral stuff you could pet as well. Both kids loved it. So did I, I must admit..
